Pick Names for New Year's Day A fun tradition that you can start as a family in addition to Santa's visit would be to pick names as a family. Everyone takes a turn picking a name including Mom and Dad.
Put a price limit on it if you like for example $5.00 or less. Once again everyone wraps their gift and sets it under the tree. New Year's morning after seeing their gift from Santa take turns youngest to oldest opening gifts from the family member that chose their name.
You could also have a guessing game to see if each family member can guess who gave them their gift. Top the morning off with biscuits and gravy (or some other family favorite) with everyone at the table and share your hopes and goals for the New Year!
